comments: I do know that this is not a query for genealogy but I thought I would ask the question. I am looking for information regarding a family named Stewart. They were free African Americans who lived in Sabina during the mid-1850's. Their given names were George, Ezekiel, Paulhatton, John & Virgina Stewart. I did read some of the interesing rememberances how very nice.

Thanks

comments: It brought tears to my eyes finding your sight. I am the grand-daughter of Ohmer and Stella (Dunn) Weller, I have spent many of wonderful days in Sabina, as a child, in the little house by the railroad track. Sabina will always be in my heart!

comments: My Great Grand-Mother (Anna C. Walden-Wallace) was born in Sabina, OH in 1888, and I have lots of pictures of my Great Grand-Mother (MeMe), my Great Uncles and Aunts, my Great-Great Grand-Father & Grand-Mother, and my Great Great Great Grand-Mother (all of Sabina, OH). Not only do I have pictures, but I was born and delivered by and in my Great Grand-Mothers' home (1947)in Springfield, OH, and her name then was Anna C. Wallace, who was married to Arthur R. Wallace. I have not been to Sabina, OH, but I plan on visiting this Fall, 2004, and my Uncle, Robert Renshaw, retired Attorney, says his Grand Mother, my Great Grand-Mothers' home is still standing. I truly love this website, and hopefully I can submit some pictures, stories and memories of my family from Sabina, OH.

comments: To anyone interested;

As a child of 6 or 7 years old I lived near Sabina, and attended Lees Creek school in the 1st & 2nd grades. My older brother Don graduated there in 1954. I can vividly remember many trips to see "Eugene" and can still close my eyes and see him there behind the wire screen. I believe he even had some gold teeth. The last time I saw him was in 1964 when I took some of my buddies to see him (we lived in Cincinnati then). I'd like to hear from anyone who wants to take the time to comment. Bill Langdon
