comments: I spent my teen years growing up in Sabina. I went to school and graduated at East Clinton High School in 1967. My parents, Ted and Kate Iles lived in Sabina for 35 years. They recently passed away in 1998 and 1999. I was just looking to see if there was a recording of their time spent there. My father worked with Barth Littleton for the time he lived there and consoled quite a few people and also put some smiles a many a face in Sabina. His ability to make people laugh and relax was definetly an art! Just wondering if anyone remembers him?

comments: My husband and I are moving to Sabina, Ohio as soon as our property gets ready. I am originally from Chillicothe, Ohio and my husband is from MaComas, West Virginia. We are in our 50's and he is disabled and I work at New Sabina Industries--so needless to say we are moving closer to my work.

I am a vivid history buff and could tell you many thngs about Ross County and Chillicothe. However, since we are moving up here in Sabina I want to learn all I can about the history of this beautiful Village.

As a child growing up I became familiar with Fayette County because my family were friends with Roy and Florence Hayes off of Snow Hill Rd.( I was there many times) and with Allen and Pearl Hayes. Also some of my distant relatives were from Fayette county. Their name was Rickey.

comments: It's quite odd that I found this site, I was actually looking up information for a research project I am doing, and I got curious as to whether Sabina had a website or not. I live in Columbus now, but I still have family there. Although my family may not hold the best morals, and may not be to popular, they are as much a part of the town as anyone else. My Father is buried in Sabina, and on the contrary my Grandmother, two uncles, two aunts, and four cousins still reside there, as well as many family friends. I am very grateful that you all are keeping our hometown alive though modern technology such as the internet, where it can be accessed by those all around the globe. People like you are a small town's true salvation. Thank you.

comments: I was born and raised in Sabina and went through school with Joy Dun Shoemaker. I have also known Ada Kiney all of my life. The article that Joy wrote about Ada several months ago has received much attention. I recently met a person who was responsible for establishing the African American Civil War Memorial in Washington DC. He met Ada last week as a guest of Paul Larue from Washington C. H., His name is Dr. Frank Smith. I am forwarding your web site address with reference to the article on Ada to Dr. Smith.

The memorial address is WWW.afroamcivilwar.org. It is the purpose of the memorial to give recognition to the USCT (US Colored Troops of the Civil War).

comments: Having worked with her on the Sabina Historical Society Board projects, I know that Peggy Dunn is a thoughtful and talented person who has added greatly to the success of the ventures our organization has been involved in for more than a year. This website that she created is a terrific way to keep in contact with people and let them know what we are doing.

Stay with us all you interested folks who want to see the preservation of Sabina's history become a reality. We need you!
