finding us: Membership Newslettercomments: Things were very interesting, as we both were raised and still live in the Sabina area. Keep up the good work. There was one mistake abour Kirt Ranken's resturant, it was where the car wash is on Howard street. Where the bank parking lot is now was Gibbs Hardware. It was run by Ralph and Earl Gibbs. Thank you for your column.

finding us: Word Of Mouthcomments: I used to work with Linda Huff Donley at Frisch's in Hillsboro many years ago. We became very close friends and still keep in touch through email. I'm very proud of her going after her dream, this is something al ot of us don't do and then before you know it we're too OLD to do it.
Linda always talked about Sabina and how much the people were and are wonderful and nice. It's family.

location: Sabina, OH
finding us: Sabina Advertisercomments: I am so interested in old buildings and what they use to be. How they have changed and became different things over the years. I guess it's a kind of bitter, sweet memory for me. I try to imagine what it was like and what everyone in the future will be thinking about when my generation is gone. Will they wander what it was like to have lived during my time? Wander what busineses came and went? It's really interesting to me----what buildings use to be, but aren't now.
I think the Sabina Historical Society is great and I commend everyone on the committee.
Thanks!!!

finding us: Sabina websitecomments: I lived in Sabina all of my life and didn't leave my hometown until after graduation, 1983. Everytime I would come home to visit my brother James and his family, I used to cringe to see that the town had expanded outward but that the middle of the town had gone to ruin. I always hoped someone would fix her up and am so glad to see it's finally being done. Sabina always was a beautiful place to live and I think it's about time. A lot of fond memories there...I "absolutely love" being able to look back in time, what a wonderful site. By the way, you ought to tell the story of "Eugene", for those of you not familiar with the story...lol. Keep up the good work! I highly commend you. One more thing, I think the school should have remained standing. A new one built of course but the old one preserved. It sure was heartbreaking seeing it knocked down...
