finding us: Membership Newslettercomments: Aloha,
A copy of your newsletter arrived today (4/8/02). I want to compliment whoever put it together. A job well done. I enjoyed reading it. I stay in touch with Sabina through the generosity of June Gray, Lou Poole, Terry Moore, Joy Shoemaker (who is doing such a great job) in bringing the history of Sabina to the forefront. I hope she knows that her enthusiasm is contagious. Keep up the good work! I also follow the news in the Sabina Advertiser which arrives on a regular basis.
This small town girl left Sabina many years ago, but the memories will always remain. I'm so happy that Sabina is finally coming to life again!
I hope you are successful in purchasing Sara Rose's home. I think if the SHS had been in existence before she died, that she would have left it to SHS and not the Clinton HS. Don't give up on it!

finding us: Link from the Sabina websitecomments: I have just finished reading Peggy Dunn's letter. I must say that Bill and I are disappointed that she has ceased her website. We enjoyed visiting it to catch up on the happenings around Sabina which hold a very special place in my heart. My family still continue to live in Sabina and I visit every chance I get. Sabina was a really great place to grow up in, although I didn't realize that until too many years later. Of course, many things have changed but not the warm place that Sabina will always have in my heart. I am really going to miss Peggy. Thank you, Diane Anders

finding us: Link from the Sabina websitecomments: Just browsing on the site to see the history of Sabina. My father is orignially from Sabina and I still have family who lives there. My grandfather, Ed Hodge, was a former Mayor of the town. He passed away in the early 1990's. the last time I visited Sabina was in 2000 when my great grandmother Mamie Hodge passed away. I have always been fascinated by the story of Eugene, and really think that Sabina is a beautiful town. The older homes are absolutely beautiful, especially in the area around the funeral home.
