Sabina Remembered

Sabina Remembered II

A book titled Sabina Remembered was published twelve years ago by Joy Dun Shoemaker. A follow-up book to that one has been written called Sabina Remembered II.

The Sabina Remembered II book has 27 chapters with stories included under the categories of Sports, Businesses, People and two World War II stories. There are 697 names in the Index, which allows the reader to easily find a specific name he or she is searching. This is a helpful family history source.

You may also order a copy by mail for $22 plus an additional $4 to cover shipping costs. Send orders to Joy Shoemaker at PO Box 12, Wilmington, OH 45177. Checks should be made payable to Sabina Historical Society.

Available at Gaskins Printing or the Historical Museum in Sabina for $22.

Sabina Remembered is a collection of stories written by Joy Dun Shoemaker which first appeared in the Sabina Advertiser. The book is divided into three sections: 1) Sabina Remembered, which includes stories of Sabina residents and of the different businesses, their owners and employees. 2) Sabina High School Remembered, which covers the years between 1912, when the building was erected, to 1965 when, because of consolidation, the high school became an elementary school. 3) World War II Remembered, the personal accounts of several Sabina servicemen and contributions of citizens on the homefront.
